“GOODBYE OLD FRIEND”

2018 is proving to be an interesting year in the life of this independent filmmaker, it’s a year of loss, but not necessarily just the loss of possessions, but a loss of so much more, we will always have memories & when they fail us, we will always have digital memories, this is a time when living in the moment needs to be embraced more & fighting our fears must take precedent… Today I had to say goodbye to an old friend, over the years this van has become very much a symbol of who I am & I have so desperately tried to keep that alive, today it felt as though I had failed, with the project hitting hard times as we approach the finish line, one of the first major casualties, unfortunately was my homemade police van, of which at times felt like one of the films main actors/characters, which I just recently retired to the back of my house, so it would be hard to NOT feel some kind of emotional attachment… so, today was like saying a final goodbye to a friend at a gravestone, you know when a film project is more than a film project when you struggle to say goodbye to a prop you made a few years prior.

RIP ‘INVASION OF THE NOT QUITE DEAD’ PROP POLICE VAN 2015-2018
